What a pleasing way to spend the afternoon...I should do it more often!
As promised - there were trade displays from More FM, local schools, Harcourts, Total Control, (to name just a few) I was impressed more than when I had my last viewing...I've put together a videotour for Sally Coltart and Susanne Hanlon ...you can view it online at http://www.videos.masonparker.co.nz/ (if not today definitely within 24 hours)
Its a shame the video won't let you smell the barbequed suagages courtesy of the More FM team, won't allow you to feel the heat (easily 25 degrees or more) and you certainly won't hear the birds.
Of course you can always see "The Beach Farm" at http://www.waitarerebeach.net.nz/ a community site courtesy of Sally Coltart and Susanne Hanlon.
Then you really should call Sally/Susanne for a personal viewing.
The man-made lakes set against the blue summer sky, the recently baled grass (is that the right way of saying it?) and the distant stands of pine trees was just stunning.
Each property has been well fenced and is easily defined - and the choices are huge - there are lots with undulating land and there are flat lots - of various sizes and aspects - it really is going to come down to the prospective owners deciding how they see themselves building and living at "The Beach Farm".
My prediction is "The Beach Farm" is more than just another beach development it will become a close knit community of like minded owners who will be "living the dream".
After driving through "The Beach Farm" I took a leisurely drive to Waitarere Beach - and WOW its the place to be. There were families enjoying a relaxing day in the sun, parked up under umbrellas and watching the kids play in what must be a brilliant swimming beach.
Those not relaxing in the Sun were parked up at one of two cafe's ...where else would you be on a day like this?
As expected Sally Coltart, Susanne Hanlon and Stu Pescini did a brilliant job of the Open Day - well done guys. And of course well done to the community and tradespeople who got in behind the open day - in my view it was a Cracker!
